Hi, Iโm Bella!
Iโve been a tutor for nearly 5 years, specialising in biology and chemistry. I am currently in my second year at the University of Cambridge studying Veterinary Medicine, and in my spare time work with access programmes and am contracted privately to help coach students like you looking to apply to medical/veterinary/dentistry schools!
I have a background of high academic achievement, with nine 9s at GCSE and 4 A* at A-Level (including EPQ), and this allows me to tutor with quality, professional resources that I have developed as my career has progressed.
I tutor a wide range of subjects, with experience in GCSE English, Biology, Chemistry and Geography, as well as A-Level Bio, Chem, and Geography. When Iโm not in lectures, I spend my time at FemSoc (feminist society), playing Vet Lacrosse, and running my podcast โI Wish I Could…โ with a friend, where we discuss university life and the highs and lows of vet school!
I also run a blog and spend lots of time with my nose in a book, always on the look out for new and exciting things to bring to my tutoring sessions. I look forward to working with you!
My teaching style
My personal preference is to make the tutoring experience as interactive as possible. I loathe simply reading a PowerPoint, and think the best learning comes from actively participating in the session and asking questions that really get to the heart of the material. I encourage note taking in whatever way works for you, and often provide crib sheets if you require help structuring these. Iโll frequently set tasks that develop independent learning styles, and celebrate wider reading that relates to the subject.

My Proudest Achievements
I was a lifeguard for three years and during this time developed communication, team work, and interpersonal skills that have been vital throughout my career. I was involved in a number of rescues, and having participated in saving lives and acting under immense stress is one of my proudest achievements.
