Hi, my name is Paarth Singhal and I am a 2nd-year medical student at St. George’s University.
I completed my medicine application during COVID and lockdowns and so I understand how careful you need to be. The application process is arduous and I hope I can help you go through it easily. COVID meant that I was unable to get the experience I wanted but it allowed me to learn useful tips and tricks that can help you get your offer.
I enjoy playing table tennis and tennis and am even a member of the tennis society at St. George’s. In my free time, I play the piano. These hobbies are helpful to relax, especially when there are exams coming up.
I know that learning is difficult, especially with the disruptions caused by COVID but I hope I will be able to help you pass your exams with flying colours.
Question-based
Initially, we will go over any homework set. I would check where my student feels weak in and go over questions they may have.
Then, we will turn to the focus of the lesson (decided before the lesson). I will take him through slides and explain the theory first before moving on to worked examples and then questions. It is important when teaching the UCAT and BMAT, that time is considered and thus, questions set in the lesson will be placed under timed conditions.
Homework will focus on questions as well as a review of the material covered in the lesson
Achieved 6.8 (S1) and 6.6 (S2) in the BMAT
Achieved Band 1 in the SJT
Was in the top 5% scores for Yr 1 of Med school
