5About Me
Hi! Iโm Ella, a first-year dental student at the University of Liverpool, and Iโm here to help you succeed in your dental school interviews.
Last year, I received 4 out of 4 offers from Birmingham, Plymouth, Newcastle, and Liverpool, scoring an incredible 133/135 on my Plymouth interview. I also ranked highly across all my other interviews, so I know exactly what it takes to stand out amongst other applicants.
Having had a tutor myself during the process, I understand what works and what doesnโt. Iโve developed tailored strategies to help handle everything from uni-specific questions to tricky scenarios and role plays that they can throw at you. Iโm committed to making sure you feel confident and prepared.
Whether youโre applying to multiple dental schools or aiming for a specific one, Iโll help you craft strong answers and develop the skills needed to impress the panel/interviewer. As a personable tutor, I aim to make the process stress-free and engagingโjust like the best interviews!
In addition to dental interview coaching, I also tutor academic subjects to help students achieve top grades. I offer GCSE Chemistry and Biology, as well as A-Level Biology and Business. I also provide UCAT preparation, equipping students with strategies to boost their scores and strengthen their university applications.

My teaching style
My approach is highly student centred and interactive, I think that a student cannot learn by simply just throwing words about at them and talking end on end. I tailor my sessions to meet the individual needs of each student, whether you’re feeling nervous about specific interview techniques or want to fine-tune your answers. Having gone through the process myself, I focus on providing practical tips and realistic mock interviews, simulating what you’ll face on the big day.
Iโm a firm believer in learning by doing, so weโll work through real MMI scenarios, role-plays, and uni-specific questions together, also mock papers in regards to UCAT and GCSE and A-Level tutoring. Iโll give you constructive feedback and help you refine your responses until you feel confident and ready. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and improve without pressure.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest academic achievements is scoring in the top 13% on the UCAT, which required dedication and focused preparation. This, along with receiving 4 out of 4 offers from top dental schools (Birmingham, Plymouth, Newcastle, and Liverpool), is something Iโm particularly proud of as it reflects my hard work and passion for dentistry.
Beyond academics, Iโve had the privilege of being a netball coach at my school, where I worked with younger students to help them develop their skills and fall in love with the sport. Seeing their growth and enthusiasm for netball was incredibly rewarding. Additionally, I tutored younger students in maths and sciences, which allowed me to share my knowledge and watch them improve their confidence and understanding in these subjects. Helping others succeed, whether in sports or academics, is something that truly drives me.
