2About Me
Hi, I’m Martha and I’m a 4th-year dental student at Newcastle University. I applied in 2020, and received all 4 of my offers, as well as having a Band 1 UCAT score in the top 14%. I really enjoyed my interviews and UCAT so I would love to help others enjoy it too, as it can be very daunting and unlike anything you have done before. Building confidence is key in any interview, which I am able to help you with through my knowledge of the interview process in a fun, relaxed manner.
I have interviewed many students so am experienced and know exactly what the interview format is like. I was able to find some really helpful tips that were able to really improve my UCAT score, so I can share these and help you find a method that works for you. I help with a youth group every week so am used to mentoring others, and have fully involved myself in university life so can really help give you a clear picture of what dentistry is like!
My teaching style
I think it is very important to tailor the style of any lesson to your needs, address your concerns, and ensure that all aspects of the UCAT and interview process are covered. We will work together to ensure that you have as much practice as possible in mock exams and interview situations to ensure you are fully prepared. I am very eager to help, so I can provide you with as much material to prepare with as possible. I am also only a text away for any questions or worries you may have.
My past experience
I facilitate a youth group every week, so am very involved with the mentoring process and how to build someone’s confidence. In sixth form I was involved in outreach to schools and events, teaching them a variety of different scientific theories.
My Proudest Achievements
Receiving 4/4 offers for dentistry is something I am very proud of as it is very competitive, and really felt my hard work paid off.
