I am a fourth year dental student with extensive experience in tutoring medical and dental applicants. I received 4 offers from Newcastle, Birmingham, Plymouth and Bristol Dental School. Having worked on an interview panel assessing candidates and tutored students for the past 3 years – my knowledge in getting medical and dental school offers is profound.
I have previously worked as a medical/dental school guidance provider for Kaplan International in the UK. Within my role I have assessed applicants’ personal statements and portfolios, also interviewing candidates and running online conferences with leading team staff. My understanding of the admissions process is comprehensive and has led many of my tutees in receiving offers from their first choice universities.
Having tutored previously for companies including Kaplan, Newcastle University, Explore Learning and Kumon I am confident my knowledge and relevant experience will be of valuable asset.
I am a student ambassador for Newcastle University, within this role I represent Dentistry at higher education career fairs and open days; I am the port of call for many current applicants. This role includes giving advice in regards to UCAT, the application process and interviews with a strong awareness of skills the admissions team are looking for having received four offers myself.
I have also worked as a tutor teaching mathematics and english for two tuition centres (Explore Learning and Kumon). This role has allowed me to adapt as a tutor, mastering my ability to conform my teaching skills to support diverse abilities.
