6About Me
Hi!
My name is Maia and I am going into my 4th year of veterinary medicine at Cambridge. I am able to help veterinary applicants with all aspects of the application process, and medicine applicants with their personal statements and interview preparation. Having been through the application process myself, I know that there are so many hurdles that must be overcome even before the interview stage.
For veterinary applicants, I can provide support for the pre-interview questions forms. I scored in the top 10% in the NSAA, which is required for Cambridge applicants. As well as Cambridge, I received offers from Nottingham and Surrey vet schools, and all of these used a variety of assessment techniques before making an offer. Therefore I feel that I have a good level of experience to share with prospective students.
Finally, the interviews for Oxbridge Med/VetMed are vastly different to other universities, and I can provide students with essential tips. Additionally, I am able to advise students applying to Cambridge on the correct college choice for them.
My teaching style
My priority is to make sure that students get the most out of our sessions. Everyone has different elements of their application that are weaker than other parts, and so it is important that these are focused on. This is of course dependent on the universities that the student applies to, as each emphasises different components.
My past experience
I have previously helped students from school with their applications to Oxbridge/ veterinary/ medical degrees.
My Proudest Achievements
Iโm proud of my academic record at school, my grades whilst at university, and my position as Captain of the Cambridge cross country club, during which we had our most successful varsity against Oxford.
