10About Me
Hi I’m a 4th year Medical Student at HYMS. I have taught 2000h+ with Medic Mind.
I’ve spent 2 gap years in order to get into medical school and have vast experience in how to apply to medicine strategically.
I am also one of the senior managers with Medic Mind.
I struggled with the application to medicine initially and my failures eventually gave me an edge to succeeding to becoming a medical student. I have spent countless hours myself preparing for the UCAT, BMAT and Interviews. Constantly developing over the years and learning from my failures has enabled me to learn intricate details on how best to apply to medicine.
I have learnt the admissions policies of each medical school vary greatly and that many students miss out on applying by not understanding how to apply.
Having the opportunity to teach with Medic Mind has helped me apply this knowledge over 1000 hours for the UCAT. Having a score of 710 and Band 1 along with this experience gives me the understanding, and skills to teach students effectively.
My teaching style
The first step is to always understand where your key weaknesses are for any entrance exam or interview. I am to teach students comprehensively with interactive lessons
Building the foundations of knowledge through tutorials and walk-throughs is what I like to start with. Then giving my students the chance to practice these questions helps me understand where they are losing marks and need to improve on.
However I love to be dynamic with each lesson, each student will be different and have difficulties in their own manner. It’s my job to identify these and prepare a student based on these.
Consistent and regular practice best helps students for aptitude skills assessed in the UCAT and BMAT. I will aim to track each student’s progress and create a specific plan to make sure they are best equipped for each step
