1About Me
Hello! I’m Jack, a first-year dentistry student at the University of Sheffield.
As a post-graduate applicant to my course (my first degree being Biomedical Sciences), I fully understand how challenging applying for dentistry can be, as I took a longer route than many others.
Everyone deserves to perform to their maximum potential in dental interviews, and I can help you to apply with knowledge and confidence. I have experience in both MMIs (e.g. Cardiff) and panel interviews (e.g. Sheffield), and my goal is to prepare you for any question, station or situation that may come up.
Having experienced both the highs and lows of the application process, my single goal is to help as many applicants as possible to ace their interviews and continue down the path of dentistry.
Together, we can work towards dental interview mastery!
My teaching style
My teaching style is a mixture between conversational and informative.
I want to make sure my interview prep sessions are as productive as possible, and in my opinion, providing constructive and friendly criticism is the best way to make use of limited time.
Any sessions will move at your pace, and I am open to questions throughout!
My past experience
In the second and third years of my undergraduate degree (Biomedical Sciences), I was a PASS and Senior PASS Leader at the University of Bristol. PASS stands for “Peer Assisted Study Session”, with myself and a partner helping first years to work on their study skills, exam preparation techniques and more.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is… getting into dental school!
Nothing can compare to the overwhelming sense of accomplishment I felt when my offer email arrived, validating years of preparation and work in a single moment.
Helping other applicants to achieve the same was the driving force behind me becoming a tutor.
