Hello! My name is Saw and I am currently a first year medical student at Queen’s University Belfast. I am very excited to meet students and help them out.
I have had past experiences in teaching GCSEs and also coaching debate teams for competitions. I have also helped out a few of my juniors with their medical school interview last year and all of them got currently hold an offer from at least one school. I have taken the IELTS for 3 times and have achieved band 7.5 and 8. I have helped my juniors with their IELTS by giving tips and using knowledge from all the IELTS workbook I have done.
I understand that some students might not feel comfortable asking questions to the tutors and I have experienced this before. Hence; if this occur, I will make sure the student feel comfortable and take the initiate and encourage them to ask questions.
I love giving my own tips and tricks to succeed in certain subjects and interviews, and I am confident that I can help students improve and achieve their goals.
I will do my best and I hope the students will do their best too!
I am looking forward to teaching students.
I have always believe that practice make perfect. Hence, I will make sure the students get a lot of chance to practice either mock interview questions or past papers. I, myself have sat the exams and been through interview, and the best study technique was practice for me.
In terms of A level subjects, I tend to also take active recalling as part of my session. Therefore, I tend to ask a lot of questions from previous lessons to check how much the student understand a topic.
Subsequently, I encourage the student to ask questions that they have doubts on and I will try my best to answer them.

I am very proud to have achieved A*A*A in my A levels despite the fact that I had to self-study a lot on my own because of online classes. The COVID situation has been hard on all of us and I only had a chance to experience in-person classes for the first 3 months of AS level and the rest of the year went online. Although I was self-studying and not having much chance to interact with teachers, I also had to take the final examination in-person at school with all topics included. So, being able to do well despite these extenuating circumstances makes me value my achievement in A levels. Additionally, I scored the highest in my GCSEs for Mathematics in my country.
I am also proud of myself that as an international applicant I have been accepted into a medical school in the UK and also received multiple offers from different universities. As an international student, the competition was higher for me and there were limited number of spaces for internationals in each medical school (e.g. 25 places). So, getting an offer into not just one but multiple schools make me feel accomplished.
