3About Me
Hi, my name is Shreya and Iโm a second year medical student at Queenโs University Belfast! Iโm originally from India, but grew up and studied in Dubai. I finished my A levels with 3A* (biology, maths, EPQ) and 1A (chemistry) in 2021. As I have very recently completed my A levels and medicine interviews, everything is quite fresh in my head and I would love to be of any help. I have been through the struggle of doing countless past papers/interview question banks, making the same mistakes every time and I wouldnโt want you to do the same! That being said, we would work together to overcome these common errors to ensure we really maximise your chances of reaching your highest capable potential. I am quite friendly and easy to speak to and Iโd be more than happy to answer any of your questions. I look forward to working together and acing those exams/interviews!
My teaching style
I have a 3 step A level tutoring technique which involves
1) figuring out your study method i.e. visual learner, prefers reading/listening
2) helping you with the content using your preferred study method 3) applying the content i.e. solving past papers together.
I believe this technique has truly helped me throughout biology level and is the reason behind my A*!
Regarding medicine interviews, i truly believe it is all about practicing and being the best version of yourself on the day. Therefore, we would go through commonly asked questions together and have practice mock interviews. After every session, i would provide you with detailed feedback regarding what I think are your strengths and what could be worked on better.
With personal statements, i would help you link your current volunteering/doctor shadowing experiences with how that has played in towards you being a doctor. Iโd also be more than happy to read over and give you detailed feedback on your personal statement.
My past experience
I have been a tutor for over a year and helped multiple students receive offers! I also have a thorough understanding of the university admission process and scoring systems as I have spent hours reading through their scoring criteria and making notes during my own application process.
My Proudest Achievements
I have helped multiple students with interview practice, many of which have gone to secure places at medical schools including Queens, Sheffield, Newcastle, UCLAN
