1About Me
Hi guys!
My name is Simal, I’m twenty-one years old, I’m from Turkey and I’m currently a third year medical student at the University of Bologna. I tutor IMAT subjects for students from different high school backgrounds who want to get into Italian universities. I got into the University of Bologna 2nd in the non-EU list in 2018 with 66/90, and I’d really like to help you in getting into the university of your choice ๐
My favorite subjects are Bio and Chemistry, Logical Reasoning and Maths and I can also help you with IMAT Physics. Its important to me that we make visible progress and you feel more competent at the topics we do together. For this, I like a question-based approach where we solve a lot of questions together.
I dance and play the guitar in my free time. I’m a determined, friendly and communicative person.
My teaching style
I’m flexible. I like to choose a path according to the student’s needs, everybody learns differently. Generally I follow one of two methods: a short lesson about the topic, solve some example questions together and give some questions as homework OR solve the student’s questions that they couldn’t answer and formulate a lesson around those questions. I think measuring progress in different topics with tests regularly helps discover the most problematic topics and is a useful tool.
My past experience
I had some experience tutoring younger students in Biology and languages before exam periods in high school.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement so far is studying medicine in a world-class university.
